How do you Fuel?? Giveaway!!

Ahhh. This post will be short and sweet because I have a ton to do before I leave for Notre Dame tomorrow. I'm here to announce my 100 followers giveaway!

One question? How do you fuel for long runs? Gus? chomps? Salt tabs? jelly beans??

After playing with fueling all year last summer, I thought I finally had it down (Gu's mint chocolate and chocolate outrage, yum!) but after eating so many, they weren't quit as friendly. When this spring came around, I decided to eat only Hammer Endurolytes (salt tabs), jelly beans and jolly ranchers! That for me folks, is a winning combo!

So, what do I have for you???

I'll be sending you a package of jolly ranchers and a package of jelly beans. There happen to be my FAVE, but I'm not sure if I can find them anymore since it's not Easter. I will do my best to find some super yummy ones for you:)
And a package of my new favorite gum...have you seen this stuff??? It's AMAZING! It's trident vitality awaken and I seriously chewed only 3 pieces during my last marathon (compared to 9 the one before) because it never gets hard and keeps it's flavor pretty darn well!

Next up:

4 Gu Chocolate Outrage
2 Gu vanilla bean
2 cliff shots (one strawberry, one chocolate)
1 package Gu chomps watermelon
1 package extreme sports beans cherry flavored
1 SAMPLE pack (not bottle shown) of hammer Endurolytes

How do you enter???
Please leave a separate comment for each:
1) Be or become a follower
2) tell me how you fuel/what's your favorite type of fuel
3) tell me your worst/best fueling story
ie the time Chocolate Gu shot out of my nose and all over...don't believe me? here's the video to prove it (sorry for Nicole's fbomb, we tend to lack filters:)

4) spread the giveaway love via your blog, twitter (@runnererika) whatever.

Ok, that's all you need to know!! This giveaway will end June Thursday June 16th at midnight!! Good luck and GYRO!

I use GU and Cliff Shot Blocks to fuel! :)

My worst GU story is when one dropped out of my belt during the marathon, and I didn't realize it. :(

I'm into Clif Shot Bloks and GU Chomps right now. GU gel doesn't go well with me while I'm running.

That video is HILARIOUS!

The first time I tried GU on a run I got it all over my hands and I felt like I was going to choke on the stuff. It was so GU-ey (ha!) that I felt it was smothering me! But, I do sometimes take it in the car before a long run and Mint Chocolate is my fave too!

I use GU gels/Cliff Shots (with caffeine!) and sometimes the chomps or a bar of whatevers around the house if I'm out of other stuff!

Last year I was using the Gu gels to fuel and haven't really tried anything else, so I am definitely up for trying new things.
Also I love those Starburst eggs, super yummy! Hope you can find them! Maybe you can special order them!

I currently don't use any fuel because my runs are so short, but I'm moving up into longer mileage so, it's time to see what this is all about.

Worst fuel story... I HAVE tried some. My worst would be on a run with my friend A, i tried this strawberry vanilla gel. I choked mid-swallow and coughed it out violently into the wind coating both of us.

I don't fuel with anything I have a stress fracture right now.

My worst fueling story is. I ran a half last year and didn't practice any fueling so therefore I was tired and wish I would have used some fueling. I am hoping to start running again in a couple weeks and I plan on trying gu.

I guess GU but I'm still playing around with this whole thing!

This weekend I totally shot the GU all over the place because it was hot and it was really liquidy (is that a word?). Such a mess. ugggh!

I normally use either Gu Gels or Hammer Gels. Also love the Chocolate Agave #9 Gels.

My worst story is that the last HM I ran (on 6/12), I ended up with it all over my hands. Luckily, the aid stations were giving out wet towels (since it was over 80° at the start of the race), so I was able to clean my hands off.
